Known by most as Bill Bergey, William Earl Bergey was born on February 9, 1945, and played professional football in the NFL for 12 seasons as a linebacker, most notably with the Philadelphia Eagles.
In addition, the Cincinnati Bengals of the AFL selected Bergey in the 1969 NFL/AFL draft, and he played college football for the Arkansas State Red Wolves.
Before the AFL-NFL merger was finalized, the Bengals had Bergey play for them in the NFL until 1973.
The following year, Bergey signed with the Eagles, where he played for seven seasons until his retirement in 1981.
Throughout his career, Bergey earned five Pro Bowl selections, two first-team All-Pro honors, and played in his final professional game at Super Bowl XV.

Jake Bergey is a former professional lacrosse player known for his abilities and leadership while playing for the Philadelphia Wings in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).
Furthermore, like his brother, Josh Bergey was a former Major League Lacrosse (MLL) player for the Chesapeake Bayhawks before turning to coaching.
