DeVonta Smith’s Younger Brother, Christian Smith, Is Following In His Footsteps, Currently Playing As A Running Back

Christian Smith, the younger brother of DeVonta Smith, is a freshman football player at Alcorn State and used to play for Amite High School.

Born on November 14, 1998, DeVonta Smith is an American wide receiver who plays for the National Football League’s (NFL) Philadelphia Eagles.

During his senior year in 2020, he amassed over 1,800 yards and 23 touchdowns while playing collegiate football for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

For his achievements as a senior, Smith received the Heisman Trophy in addition to numerous other accolades.

In addition to being the fourth overall, he was the first wide receiver to win the Heisman since Desmond Howard in 1991.

Before being chosen by the Eagles with the tenth overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft, he also won two national titles while attending Alabama.

Additionally, Smith agreed to a three-year, $75 million contract extension with the Eagles on April 15, 2024.

During Sunday’s divisional-round game against the Rams, Smith became the only player in Eagles history to hold the record for the most playoff receiving yards in the team’s history.

DeVonta Smith was born in Amite City, Louisiana, to parents Christina Smith-Sylve and Kelvin Dickerson.

In addition, Devonta had a younger brother named Christian Smith, who grew up with him.

His brother, Christian, is a talented collegiate football player carrying on the family’s athletic heritage.

In addition to being a first-team All-District running back and the district’s defensive MVP, Christian had committed to play in the fifth-year Gridiron Football All-American Bowl. Additionally, he participated in the 2021 2A state tournament for Amite.

DeVonta revealed that his brother does not experience additional stress as a result of his popularity by stating,

People call him my little brother, he don’t like it, He made it easier for me, because he already understood that he’s not ‘DeVonta’s little brother,’ he’s Christian.

With DeVonta leading the way and Christian keen to establish his identity, the Smith brothers have always loved the sport, having grown up together.
