On the other hand, another guy, Robert Brooks, was a 43-year-old inmate at Marcy Correctional Facility in New York who passed on December 10, 2024, following a violent beating by correctional officers on December 9.
The incident was captured on body camera footage, which showed officers repeatedly striking Brooks while he was handcuffed to a medical examination table.
The recently deceased Brooks and Robert Brooks, the former NFL wide receiver, actually have nothing in common, although they end up sharing the same name and last name.
