Irish superstar Kicker Mitch Jeter’s father, Andrew Jeter, transitioned from varsity swimming at ECU to serving as a Doctor of Chiropractic for almost 26 years. Even Mitch has plans to study biology and enter the medical space.
After transitioning from soccer, Mitch Jeter is making headlines as the kicker for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
He is a graduate student from Salisbury, South Carolina, and has had an impactful college career in football.
The young kicker began his collegiate journey at the University of South Carolina, where he played as a kickoff specialist. However, Mitch later changed his position and now plays as a full-time kicker.
Since his parents also come from athletic backgrounds, not football particularly, Mitch Jeter follows their pathways.
Reports suggest that the kicker also plans to enter the medical field, as his father is a chiropractic doctor. Both of his parents’ life and experiences have significantly impacted his career.
From Soccer To Football Kicker, Mitch Jeter And The Jeter Family Have Walked Through Heavy Transitions
Mitch Jeter, the NFL prospect, comes from a supportive family background with a father who was once involved in athletics.
He was born on Aug. 27, 2001, as the son of Andrew Jeter and Stacy Jeter. According to Salisbury’s report, they met at the Eastern California University (ECU) and later fell in love.
During their time in ECU, Mitch’s father was a Varsity swimmer for the Pirates. However, Andrew didn’t continue his swimming career and rather focused on medicine education.
The senior Jeter currently works as a Doctor of Chiropractic and operates his clinic, Jeter Chiropractic. He has been in the chiropractic space for almost 26 years and has a great reputation among all doctors.
Further researching his educational background, Andrew Jeter graduated from Palmer College Chiropractic, Davenport, with a degree in 1993.
He has been serving in Salisbury, NC, for over 20 years as a licensed chiropractor treating patients. The doctor’s satisfaction rate is extremely high and is one of the best in Salisbury.
Unfortunately, details on what his mother studied aren’t specified anywhere. Due to her absence from social media, details about her education and background remain off the public reach.
The couple began dating at ECU and eventually went on to marry. After finishing their degree at ECU, Andrew moved on the path of his medical journey.
Since their son is climbing new heights every day, both of them are pretty active on social media. Stacy often posts images and shares clippings of their son’s gameplay performances.
She undoubtedly has played a supportive role in Mitch’s life alongside managing the family in her husband’s absence.
Their decision was vital for Jeret to accept the offer to play between East Carolina and South Carolina. They collectively selected the offer from the SEC football team due to its magical atmosphere.
Andrew mentioned,
I felt a good connection with the coaches at South Carolina, and playing in the SEC will be awesome as well.
He recognized that playing in front of large crowds would be a significant challenge for Mitch but also an exciting one.
Moreover, Mitch Jeter has also publicly acknowledged his parents on social media.
In December 2019, he shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, expressing gratitude for their support and guidance throughout his life and athletic career.
He thanked them for their love and support, mentioning:
First of all, I want to thank God for blessing me with the ability to compete in the sport I love with the best. I want to thank my parents and family for everything they’ve been through with me in this process with their love and support at all times…
