Former Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jerome Bettis And Trameka Boykin’s Both Kids Followed Their Father’s Footsteps To The University Of Notre Dame

Hall of Famer running back Jerome Bettis’ children have decided to walk on the same path he once did. Bettis Jr. recently signed with the Fighting Irish despite multiple prolific offers.

Former RB Jerome Bettis’ children, Bettis Jr. and Jada Bettis have closely followed his father’s footsteps.

Jerome & Trameka Boykin’s kids have decided to continue his dad’s legacy by committing to Notre Dame.

The RB exchanged vows with his long-time girlfriend Trameka in July 2006 in Montego Bay. The couple dated for several years before marrying.

Among the two children, Jada is the eldest, and Jerome Bettis was born two years later in 2007.

Though Jada doesn’t play football, she is academically related to Notre Dame. However, her brother plays as a WR for the Fighting Irish.

Pro Hall of Fame Jerome Bettis And Trameka Boykin’s Son, Jerome Bettis Jr., Have Committed To Play For The Fighting Irish!

Jerome Bettis, aka The Bus, and his wife, Trameka Boykin’s two children, grew up looking up to their father.

Their parents tied the holy knot in 2006, a year after they welcomed their first kids, daughter Jada Bettis.

The lady is a student at the University of Notre Dame, where Jerome played a running back position.

Though none of the kids recalls him rushing as he retired in 2006, Jerome has a major influence in the family.

Jada was just an infant during his dad’s retirement after the Steelers’ Super Bowl victory.

According to Heavy report, on Jerome’s Hall of Fame induction, Jada said,

“I couldn’t be any prouder. He worked so hard and finally, he is in the Hall of Fame. All of his hard work paid off.”

Trameka and Jerome’s younger child, Jerome Bettis Jr., was born in April 2007.

He studies at Woodward Academy High School in Atlanta and has committed to play for the Fighting Irish.

Despite receiving multiple offers from Arkansas, Boston College, and California, he has taken his father’s way.

The young lad caught the headlines in March 2024 after rejecting the offers from many prominent programs.

After high school, Bettis Jr. will play as a wide receiver for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Though Jerome Bettis played RB, he is happy to see his son walking the same path he once did.

The WR is a part of a legacy group at Notre Dame. He joined the sons of other former Pittsburgh Steelers players by committing to Notre Dame.

Projection reports suggest that Jerome Jr. is on the highly ranked 2025 recruiting list.

As recruiting days are nearing, it would be interesting to see what the future holds for all of them.

Jerome Bettis Jr. competes in track and field events, including high jump. He posted a 5-8 effort in 9th grade at the GHSA Region 5 AAA meet.

He is a two-way player for a Woodward Academy program. In 2023, he caught 30 passes for 369 yards, including 4 touchdowns.

According to current reports, agencies marked him as a three-star recruit in 2025.
